The updated Friedman BE-100 Deluxe Quad Cortex pack is officially live.
This release is a complete ground-up recapture of the original pack using the new Neural Capture V2 process on the Quad Cortex. Rather than simply updating or reusing portions of the previous sessions, the entire pack was rebuilt from scratch with a focus on improving dynamic response, low-end accuracy, transient behavior, and overall realism.
The Friedman BE-100 Deluxe remains one of the most versatile modern British-style amplifiers available, capable of everything from Plexi-inspired cleans and edge-of-breakup tones to aggressive modern high-gain sounds. Throughout these new sessions, special attention was given to preserving the amp’s natural feel and responsiveness while taking advantage of the improved behavior offered by Neural Capture V2.
The Full Rig captures were built around carefully mic’d Mesa Boogie V30 and Marshall Heritage cabinet setups, while the included DI captures allow players to pair the amp tones with their own IRs, cabinet simulations, or real guitar cabinets for maximum flexibility.
Compared to the previous generation, the new V2 captures provide:
- Improved pick attack tracking
- Tighter and more controlled low-end response
- More natural gain structure and compression behavior
- Better cleanup with guitar volume changes
- Increased realism and responsiveness under the fingers
