About the Amp
The Friedman BE-100 Deluxe is a versatile high-gain amplifier designed to cover both classic and modern tones. Hand-built with premium components, it features multiple channels, voicing options, and gain stages that allow for everything from touch-sensitive cleans to saturated lead tones. Its Plexi-inspired character and smooth, controlled response make it a go-to platform for expressive, dynamic playing.
What’s Included
- 79 Amp/Cab captures with the cabinet fully baked into the model
- Captured using a mic’d Mesa Boogie 2x12 and Marshall Hand Wired 4x12
- Carefully dialed gain stages, EQ profiles, and voicings based on real BE-100 Deluxe configurations
- Tones covering Plexi-style cleans, edge-of-breakup crunch, and modern high-gain lead sounds
Tone and Usage
These captures are designed to be mix-ready and immediate, requiring no additional IRs or cabinet simulation. Simply load and play through studio monitors, FRFR systems, or direct to FOH.
The models respond naturally to picking dynamics and guitar volume, maintaining clarity, articulation, and consistent gain structure across a wide range of playing styles. The included cabinet pairings provide a balance between tight, modern low-end response and a more open, classic feel.
Who This Pack Is For
- Players who want plug-and-play, mix-ready Friedman tones
- Guitarists running FRFR, direct rigs, or recording setups
- Anyone looking for consistent, polished tones without needing external IRs
Setup Notes
Created and tested using a Universal Audio Apollo interface, calibrated to +12.5 dBu for a consistent input reference.
For best results, start with your ToneX Pedal or software input trim at 0 dB (unity gain) and adjust to taste. We recommend setting input gain using your highest-output pickups as a baseline, allowing other guitars to scale naturally from there. Input level directly affects gain structure, dynamics, and overall response.
